Mary Jane was born in York Neck, Illinois to John Lees and Margaret Purdy. The town no longer exists but was located four miles due north of Camp Point. Mary Jane wed Louis Naderhoff on October 28, 1884, in Adams County, Illinois and to this union was born:

2) Gwinn V on Sep 21, 1887
3) Clifton Oliver on Sep 28, 1889
4) Lillian on Jul 22, 1892
5) Donald Raymond on Jun 28, 1893

1) Mary's father John Lees was born in 1818 in Dunboe Parish in county Londonderry, North Ireland and died in Adams County, Illinois on March 30, 1859, and was buried in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

2) Mary's mother, Margaret Purdy, was born on October 31, 1827, in Antikeeragh, Dunboe Parish in county Londonderry, North Ireland. Margaret wed William Neal in Ireland in 1846 and they immigrated to Carbon County, Pennsylvania. William died there and Margaret wed John Lees in 1849. They had one child then moved to Adams County, Illinois and had five more. After John died, Margaret wed Hiram Thompson in Adams County, Illinois on November 27, 1862, and later wed Samuel McAnulty on October 18, 1883. Margaret died on April 13, 1887, in Adams County, Illinois and is buried in Byler Cemetery.
