Donald G. "Penny" Perrine, 144 S. Otter St., Mercer, passed away at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township. He was 75.

He was born April 10, 1935, in Grove City, a son of Paul and Bertha Stevenson Perrine.

Mr. Perrine previously was employed by Sharon Steel and Greenville Steel Car as an assemblyman.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 159, Mercer.

Surviving are: his children, Donna G. Ryder and her husband, Tim; Lisa L. McCoy; and Mark A. Perrine, all of Greenville; two stepdaughters, Tina Maxwell and her husband, Jeff, Mercer, and Tonya Lyons, Grove City; a stepson, Matthew Whetzel, Wichita, Kansas; a brother, Glenn Perrine and his wife, Donna, Jackson Center; 26 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sons: Paul J., Donald and Darryl Perrine; four brothers: James E., Paul Joseph, William and Kenneth Perrine; three sisters: Mary Elder, Lois A. Barr and Pearl Klingensmith; and one grandson, Kenneth Lee Perrine.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Burial will be in Old Findley Cemetery, Findley Township.
