HARRIET S. HARRIS 1859 – 1936 (My gr grandmother)
married William H Rosewarne 1859 – 1937
Obituary of Henry S Harris
"Henry S. Harris was born in Bethel, Yates county,
N. Y.,June 12,1819, and died at his home in Mishawaka, Nov.17,1884.Fourty years ago the day of his death he was united in marriage to Hannah A. Phillips, of Manheim,N.Y. Three infant sons with their mother have passed over the river, and we are hoping today that father is at rest with them. Two daughters, Miss Sarah and Mrs. Rosewarne are left to mourn their loss. Mr. and Mrs. Harris came to this place from Lockport, N.Y., in the fall of 1848, where they have since resided. He became a member of the M.E. church when quite a young man and at times was a very active member. He was stricken down in what we all supposed to be perfect health, without a thought or a word of fairwell, and though it seems hard we will leave it with a higher power than ours, and feel that He doeth all things well."
