( 1920 census and the family is living in Mount Pleasant. They are living on Mount Joy Road so still in the area. Besides Jim and Mamie, also living in the house are Lawrence, Vera and Thelma.
One thing I am noticing is that in 1930 the household next to Jim and Mamie is a Gibson household. In the house are Willie Gibson, age 50, and his sister, Zilphia, age 58. In 1920 the house next door to them is a Gibson household once again. In this house are Will Gibson, age 40; his mother, Nana (?), age 70; and his sister, Zilpha, age 45.
I am wondering if maybe Mamie could have been a Gibson. This Willie Gibson is buried at Bailey but his name is spelled Willie Gipson. It could have been misspelled on the census records.James and Mamie state they 5 children: Virginia Mae, Lawrence H., Vera, Thelma and Mary.
