Aged 64, of 1608 Twentieth avenue, died at 9.20 o'clock last evening at the home of a son, Roy Cartwright, 911 Plum street, Williamsburg, with whom he had been visiting. Death resulted from a complication of diseases after five years' illness. He was born at Sandy Ridge, Centre county, on July 21, 1870, and was a miner for many years prior to moving to Altoona six years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elsie (Harren) Cartwright, and the following sons and daughters: Betty Jane, Roland C., and William Cartwright, Jr., all at home, Mrs. Paul Ray, Mrs. John Dirrigl, Mrs. William Fink, and Mrs. Elwood
Miller, all of the city (Altoona), James and (William) Roy Cartwright of Williamsburg, Charles of Pittsburgh, Preston Cartwright of Blandburg and Mrs. Clara Goudy of Williamsport. Mr. Cartwright was a member of the United Brethren church.
The body may be viewed at the Bechtol funeral home in Williamsburg where
funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Philipsburg cemetery.
