PERSONAL NOTE: Galen resided in California for many years. He was living in his dream house in St. George Utah at the time of his death. He was on a trip back to California to visit friends there when he suffered a heartattack and was hospitalized. He died at the hospital several weeks later. He had suffered a stroke at the age of 62 that left him with no use of his left arm and hand.

Galen Leerhoff 65, of St. George Utah was born February 12, 1929 in Butler County , Allison area, to Heiko and Hillane Weiland Leerhoff. He died at Anaheim Memorial Hospital, California.
Galen attended Allison school, graduating in 1947. He attended the University of Iowa then moved to California where he worked for a computer company. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War era.
Galen was preceded in death by his parents, his half-brother Irving Leerhoff, and half-sisters Jurene Heeren and Bernice Van Allen.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette S. Leerhoff of St. George Utah; a step daughter Linda G. Osborne and a step son Lee S. Gardner; a sister Donna and Wayne Dolgner, Janesville, Wisconsin and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Thursday, June 23, 1994 at 11:30 a.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park, Whittier, California.
