Kenneth Dohse, son of Carl H. and Ellen (Rodgers) Dohse, was born February 14, 1915, at Neligh and died Wednesday, June 29, 1994, at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln.
Kenneth graduated from Gordon High School in 1935. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-46. He married Alice Deppe in Nuckolls County. Kenneth was a farmer in Clay and Nuckolls Counties, a bee keeper and owned and operated the Angus General Store. He was a member of First Church of God and American Legion, both in Edgar, and the V.F.W. of Nelson.Survivors include his wife, Alice; one daughter, Ruth McLaughlin of Edgar; four brothers, Earl, Harold and Lowell, all of Gordon, and Marvin of Scottsbluff; three sisters, Anna Marie Belsky and Doris Lang, both of Gordon, and Vonna Anderson of Loveland, Colorado; and one grandchild. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, at First Church of God in Edgar with the Rev. Lawrence McClure officiating. Additional services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at First Church of God in Gordon with the Rev. Harlan Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery near Gordon. Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home of Edgar was in charge of the arrangements.
