Casper Man Is Killed In Billings For Big Holdup

Billings, Mont., Dec. 22 - The man who was killed here last night by Patrolman Frank Floyd, following the robbery of H. G. Kogen, tailor, was identified today by a former fellow employee of the Midwest Refining Company at Casper, as Earl P. Pike.

A message from the sheriff at Casper stated that Pike was wanted in Casper on the charge of robbery.

The shooting occured on the main business street after Pike and a companion held up Kogen.

The robber got a loot of about $1,000.

Body Of Pike Brought To City From Billings

The body of Earl P. Pike has been brought to Casper from Billings, Montana, for burial. Pike was shot and killed following the robbery of a store in Billings last week.

The body is being held at the Shaffer-Gay chapel pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
