Betty Jean Littrell of Lake Lotawana, Missouri died Mon., March 28, 2011. She was born on July 11 in Juniata to William C. & Mabel Gold (Burkholder) Tipton. Survived by lifelong friend, Nancy Sorge, of Altoona; Nancy's children: Leanne Weaverling & husband, Tom, and Kathy Wertz & husband, Michael; and Nancy's grandchildren and gr. grandchildren, all of whom Betty called her family. Predeceased by husband, George, and her sister, Phyllis Eleanor (Tipton) Toutz. Betty was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School. She moved to the Kansas City area, where she met and married George W. Littrell III in 1950. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and attended football games for over 35 years. Her generosity and her love of life were an example and an inspiration to all. Betty will be buried in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Las Vegas, NV, next to her husband. No services will be held.
