Cemt., Elwood IL OBIT Herald News, Joliet IL: David Michael Forsythe Age 52, of Elwood, died Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jacqueline (nee Gergash); one daughter, Stefanie (Douglas) Krueger of New Lenox; two sons, Joseph (Christina) of Joliet; and Paul of Elwood. Seven grandchildren. Parents, Franklin and Emily Forsythe of Manhattan. Four brothers, John (Sally) of New Lenox, Patrick (Dorothy), Franklin II, and Daniel (Christine), all of Manhattan. Numerous nieces and nephews. David was a graduate of Providence High School,class of 1968. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp in Vietnam. He was a recipient of two Purple Hearts and numerous other awards. He was a member of the Harry E. Anderson VFW Post 9545 in New Lenox and a 30 year member of the IBEW Local 176. Funeral service for David M. Forsythe, will be 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 17, 2002, from the Forsythe Funeral Chapel, 320 Eastern Ave., Manhattan to St. Joseph Church, 235 W. North St., 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Visitation Monday, 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. FORSYTHE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 320 Eastern Ave., Manhattan, IL (815)478-3321.
