STATESBORO - Mrs. Barbara Sue Owens, 58, died Friday. Survivors: son, Darrel (Teresa) Elliott; grandchildren, William Seth and Vanessa Elliott; special friend, Bill Fry, and other relatives. Graveside services and burial will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Brannen Family Cemetery in Statesboro with Elder Steve Taylor officiating.

Mrs. Barbara Sue Owens, age 58, died Friday April 1st, 2011 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The Missouri native moved to Sylvania in 1983 and to Statesboro in 1985. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mildred Graham Elliott; her husband, Brinkley David Owens; a sister, Norma Jean Maloney and a brother, Hurvel Elliott.
Surviving are a son and a daughter in law, Darrell and Teresa Elliott of Statesboro; three grandchildren, William, Seth and Vanessa Elliott; a special friend, Bill Fry of Statesboro and three sisters, Euneeda Heath of Ava, MO, Maxine Jones of Broken Arrow, OK and Ilene Sauls of Jefferson City, MO. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services and burial will be Sunday at 2:00pm at the Brannen Family Cemetery in Statesboro with Elder Steve Taylor officiating.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459.
