She was born Tuesday, Feb. 17 1948 in Greenville, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Francis Gardner and Nannie Latham Gardner who survives.
She was a retired Operator from Logan Aluminum, Inc. She also bought rental properties.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a member of Good Samaritan Board, Relay For Life and Toys For Tots.
Surviving are sons, Robert DeWayne Edwards of Russellville, Kentucky and Travis Shane Hanley (Tonya) of Nashville, TN, a daughter Shelly Johnson(Hugh) of Russellville, Kentucky, brothers, Clifton Gardner (Becky) of Dunmor, Kentucky, Harold Gardner of Dunmor, Kentucky, Lloyd Gardner of Greenville, Kentucky, Lawrence Gardner (Rolande) of Dunmor, Kentucky and Leonard Gardner of Dunmor, Kentucky; sisters, Linda Craiger (Ken) of Glasgow, Kentucky, Brenda Rogers (Tim) of Greenville, Kentucky and Marilyn Covington (Wayne) of Beech Creek; Several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Bill Francis of Lewisburg, Kentucky; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011, at Price Funeral Home, Inc. 252 E. Green Street, Lewisburg, Kentucky. There will also be a visitation on Saturday, March 26, 2011 beginning at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Mt.Pleasant Baptist Church located at 954 Stacker Street, Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256.∼Father: Francis Albert Gardner
