Nellie (she never liked her given name, Manuela, was married to Lorenzo Ramos. They never had children but her hands were full with her husband. She had a hard life, worked to support her husband who stayed home and did the cooking.

She came to the United States with her Father, brother and young sister when she was 11 years old. Her Mother died in childbirth with her younger sister, Maria Ruiz Marin. They all studied hard, learned English, and was proud to become American Citizens.

She had a funny sense of humor and loved to pinch a nose or tug at a childs ear.
