Killed by 'Sir William Courtenay', alias John Tom, at Bossenden Farm, prior to the 'Battle of Bossenden Wood.' He was with his brother John, a Constable, and it is possible that he was a former follower of Tom's who was suspected of betrayal. His wife Sarah received a compensatory pension of £40 a year for the remaining 35 years of her life.
