Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Quinten Beard officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery in Claremont.
Mr. Minor was born October 1, 1923 in Huntsville, Arkansas, the son of Lucien W. and Chloe (Goucher) Minor. He married Ruby Alreita Jordan August 29, 1941. She preceded him in death February 6, 2000.
He was owner and operator of Minor Drilling Company in Olney and was active in the oil business for over 50 years. He was very active in the community throughout his life, serving as a baseball coach, Babe Ruth League District Director and Assistant State Director, Boy Scout leader, PTA officer, Commissioner of Public Health & Safety ( Police Commissioner) from 1969 to 1973.
Mr. Minor is survived by two daughters, Debbie Minor of Olney and Jimi Walker and her husband, Daniel of Cloverport, Kentucky; and five grandchildren, Darla, Kendra and Finese Minor of Arkansas and Bethany and Chloe Walker of Cloverport, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, one sister, one son, Marshall Craig and one grandchild.
