Charles died as a result of injuries sustained in a car crash. His wife and step-daughter were also killed in this senseless crash.

Charles' life was taken away just as it was beginning. He had gotten married just 8 months before and he had enlisted in the US Army less than a year before he died.

Charles joined the US Army in February, 1998 and was stationed at Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, NC. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne.
