Leo Joseph Bedard, 88, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the Lifecare Center of West Bridgewater. He was the husband of the late Georgette (Berard) Bedard. Born in Boston, raised and educated in Fall River and Sharon. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army. Mr. Berard worked as a Conductor for Amtrak for many years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of United Transportation Union for over 55 years, and the Elks. He was an active member of the Seniors Bowling League in Brockton, the Stoughton Golden Agers and the National Association of Retired Veteran Railway Employees (NARVRE).
He is survived by his children; Ret. Col Michael G. Bedard and his wife Gayann of Melbourne, FL, Andrea M. Bedard of East Bridgewater, and the late Richard A. Bedard. He was the Grandfather of Kimberly, Kevin, and Kirsten Darragh, also Jacob, Timothy, and Hannah Bedard. He was also survived by his 2 great grandchildren, Haylie and Caleb.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., STOUGHTON, on Tuesday, March 22nd at 9:15 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Cottage St., Sharon, at 10:00 am. Visiting Hours will be Monday evening 5-8 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial with military honors will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
