Mrs. Gracie Buckley Croom, 87, of Hayti, resident of Pemiscot county since 1919, died at Presnell Hospital in Kennett last Wednesday, Oct. 14 and funeral services were held the following Friday afternoon at the Hayti Baptist church with the Rev. J.T. Spurlin of Pembroke, Ky., assisted by the Rev. M.S. Lloyd of Hayti officiating. Burial was in East Woodlawn cemetery with LaForge Funeral Home service.
Mrs. Croom was born at Henderson, Tenn. on November 10, 1881 and was married to L.F. Croom at Henderson on December 25, 1901. They had lived in the Terry Switch community since 1919. She was a member of the Baptist church and of the Royal Neighbors Lodge.
She leaves her husband; one daughter, Miss Dana Lois Croom of the home; two sons, Lofton B. Croom of the home and Roland H. Croom of Wellston, Mo.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
