Dorothy Tavenner services Friday

Funeral services for Dorothy M. Tavenner, 64, of Paxton, who died at 9:39 a.m. Wednesday (July 10, 1985) at her home, was at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paxton.

The Rev. Paul F. Dinan officiating. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rantoul.

She was born March 14, 1921, in Ford County, a daughter of Charles and Mildred Johnson Parsons. She married Walter Gilonske in 1942. He died in 1944. She later married Robert Tavenner April 11, 1946, at Paxton. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Mildred Siddens, rural Paxton; seven sons, Kent Gilonske, Steve Tavenner, Tom Tavenner, Chris Tavenner, and Pat Tavenner, all of Paxton; Corey Tavenner, Ludlow; Dennis Tavenner, Buckley; five daughters, Barb Keil, Gayle Tavenner, both of Paxton; Elaine Miles, Jacksonville, Fla.; Beverly Jo Black, Gifford; and Kathy Horton, Urbana; five brothers, Gordon, Klamath Falls, Ore.; Don, Champaign; Martin, Hoopeston; Richard, Paxton; and Perry, Rantoul; two sisters, Ruth Wills, Bayside, Calif., and Edith Reynolds, Gifford; and 18 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.
