Moody Nicholson Parker was born 23 December 1902 in Jackson County, North Carolina, the daughter of William Thomas Parker (1871-1935) and Sarah Elizabeth Nicholson Parker (1873-1949). She was married to Fred Elmer Coward (1903-1971) on 20 January 1921 in Sylva, NC. They would have ten children. She died 15 March 1941 in Scotts Creek, NC at the age of 38. She was interred at the Lower Coward Cemetery.
