Mrs. James M. Innes, 85 years old, died Thursday morning at the Audrain County Hospital in Mexico, Missouri. A native of Howard County, she had lived in Mexico and had been ill the past three years.
The body will be brought to Fayette this morning in time for funeral services at 11 a.m. today at the Ralph A. Carr Funeral Chapel. The Reverend E.J. Christian of Kansas City will be the officiating minister, and burial will be at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
Born Mattie F. Young on February 17, 1882, Mrs. Innes was the daughter of J.O. Young and Ida Belle Grigsby Young. In 1900 she was married to Mr. Innes, who died in 1939.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George P. Adams of Mexico; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. A.T. Innes and Mrs. John Coutts of Fayette and Mrs. L. E. Vaughn of Auxvasse; two brothers, Herbert Young of Fayette and O.T. Young of Columbia.
