BAILEY, Reubin age 87 of Hanover Township passed away at McCullough- Hyde Hospital on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 7:02 PM. He was born in Hyden, Kentucky on August 22, 1923 the son of John and Susan (Turner) Bailey. Reubin was employed as a forklift operator at Pease for 35 years, retiring in 1986. On October 8, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky he married Lucille Melton, and she preceded him in death in 1985. He is survived by six sons, Reubin (Sheryl) Bailey, Jerry W. Bailey, both of Richmond, Kentucky, John R. Bailey of Reily, David (Teresa) Bailey of Richmond, Kentucky, Kenneth (Barb) Bailey of Reily, and Steven (Sharon Drews) Bailey of Hamilton; a daughter, Lucy (David) Luff of Hamilton; two brothers, John (Violet) Bailey of Florida and Bob (Margie) Bailey of London, Kentucky; three sisters, Idie Hendricks of Phoenix, Arizona, Roxie Wells, and Evelyn Begley, both of Hamilton; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lige, Clifford, and Don Bailey; a sister, Rosie Gibson; and two grandsons, Sgt. David James Luff Jr. and John Allen. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Scott Miller of Timberhill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. www.browndawson.com
