Carolyn Jeanne Camp Butts, 74, of Terre Haute, was called home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2011. She passed away at home with her daughter, granddaughters, and best friend by her side. Carolyn was born Feb. 9, 1937, in Terre Haute, to Franklin M. Camp and Carrie C. Ringo Camp. She married Eugene V. Butts on Jan. 10, 1974.

She is survived by her daughters, Carrie Jeanne Nidey, and Betsy Eileen Andrade and her husband Enrique Andrade; grandchildren, Carrie C. Gamboa and her husband Jessie Gamboa, Franklin C. Andrade, Katie R. Strickland and her husband James B. Strickland, and Angel Barrett; great-grandchildren, Lilly E. Stranahan, Connor J. Stranahan, and Emmalin R. Strickland; her brothers, Harry R. Camp, William R. Camp Sr. and James P.E. Camp I; her best friend, Carol Draper and her husband Martin Draper; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse; her parents; two brothers, Franklyn C. Camp and Benny L. Camp; and two nephews, Edward and Michael Camp.

She was the long-time caregiver of her parents and husband. She was a retired field supervisor for S&K Management in Los, Angeles. She was a member of Maplewood Christian Church, Lodge 43 of The International Order of the Eastern Stars, and past guardian of Bethel 2 of the International Order of Job's Daughters. She also was a member of the Wabash Valley Senior Center, where she played pinochle.

She had been a long time resident of Los Angeles, where she worked as an extra in several Hollywood movies. She was an avid reader and loved working word puzzles and playing games with her grandchildren.

Services will be on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
