Corbin Henry Peters, 83, Route 1, Fort Blackmore, Va., died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at his residence.
A lifelong resident of Scott County, Va., he was a retired farmer and coal miner. He attended Peterson's Chapel Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nora Lane Peters, Fort Blackmore, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Mary Inez) Crabtree, Dennison, Tx. and Miss Linda Faye Peters, Fort Blackmore, Va.; one son, Bert Carl Peters, Fort Blackmore, Va.; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Smith, Gate City, Va., Mrs. Rosa Carrico, Kingsport, Tn. and Mrs. Nellie Custer, Alton, Missouri; one brother, Ofaril Peters, Gate City, Va.
Calling hours are from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, at Gate City Funeral Home and at the residence any time.
Services will be conducted, Monday at 2 p.m. in the Glen Falin Memorial Chapel at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eritt Darnell and the Rev. Oscar Peters officiating.
Burial will be in the Peters Cemetery.
