After graduating from Milford High School in 1942, Mr. Medlyn served in the U.S. Army 656th Tank Destroyer Battalion in England, France, Belgium, and Germany during World War II.
He worked for his father at Medlyn Monument Co. in Milford, became the owner in 1958, and retired in 1982. He was a member of American Legion Post 23 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4368 in Milford. In his later years, he wintered in Florida and spent summers at Deering Lake in New Hampshire. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Mr. Medlyn left behind his wife, their two sons, and their five grandchildren.
