Earl Van Denton, Jr., 41, of Maysville died Wednesday evening, March 9, 2011 at the Pauls Valley General Hospital following a motorcycle accident. He was born February 1, 1970 at Purcell, Oklahoma to Earl Van, Sr. and Diana (Deaton) Denton.

Earl attended school in Maysville after moving here when he was 7 years old. While in school he enjoyed playing sports. Earl also enjoyed fishing, playing pool, rock 'n' roll music, Elvis, ACDC, and Patsy Cline. He was a good carpenter and most recently worked in the oilfield for A & A Trucking. Earl had a passion for all kinds of motorcycles, he built them and worked on them. He was very proud of his daughter, Julie, who he had taught to drive. Earl had made his home with his mother for the last 2 years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Earl's survivors include his mother, Diana Deaton of the home. Daughter, Julie Denton of Maysville. Brother, Joe Deaton and his wife, Stacey of Maysville. Sister, Sara Bennett and her husband, Chris of Glenpool, Oklahoma. Nieces and nephew: Hailee, Kyla, and Jaci Deaton; and Mason and Madyson Bennett. Aunt, Dana Cole and uncle, Jimmy Deaton. His daughter's mother, Kelly Spence of Maysville. His daughter's grandmother, Jean Selman of Maysville.

He was preceded in death by father, Earl Van Denton, Sr.; grandparents: William and Nona Denton, Jimmy Deaton, and Joyce Selman; aunt, Deborah Deaton; and uncle, Gary Deaton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 14, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Maysville, OK with Rev. Billy Davenport and Rev. Steve Spangler officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
