Johannah G. Masters, 85, of Flora, IL died at 7:20 AM Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, IL.

She was born November 27, 1925 in Flora, IL to Fred & Goldy (Nelson) Glassford. She married Lynn Masters on March 31, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1991.

She was a retired secretary for the City Clerk and worked many years at Flora International Shoe.

Johannah's interests and memberships included the following: Faith Lutheran Church of Flora, board member of Golden Circle Nutrition, member of Clay County Hospital Auxiliary, lifetime member of DAV Auxiliary, and member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Nelson (Norma) Masters of Florrisant, MO, Jon A. (Connie) Masters of Springfield, MO, Lisa Masters (Tony Gray) Erbacher of Flora; brother: Pete (Ruby) Glassford of Flora; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters (Janette Gresham & Teri Dhom), 1 sister (Susan Mack), and 2 brothers (Gene & John Glassford).

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 11, 2011 at Faith Lutheran Church, Flora. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Johannah Masters Golden Circle Nutrition Fund.
