Jacob Bonebrake the son of Adam and Catharine her maiden not ascertained Bonebrake. He married Elizabeth. He helped to build the present church edifice at Grindstone Hill. He and his wife, Elizabeth, both lie buried in the adjoining cemetery. They had at least these children.


(1.) Margaret Ann Bonebrake wed Jacob Summers and dwelt in Washington township.

(2.) George Davis Bonebrake b. 12 January 1844-d. 7 Aug 1920 married 8 December 1870, Mary Ann b. 27 May 1849- d. 29 July 1913, daughter of C. C. and Anna M. (Spear) Funk. They had five children.

(3.) Amanda Elizabeth Bonebrake b. 13 November 1844-d. 23 November 1923 never wed.

(4.) Jacob Bonebrake, of Quincy township.

(5.) John Bonebrake b. 1851-d.1918 married Susan Robinson d. 1856- d. 1937 and had eight children. John and Susan lie buried in Hade's Church graveyard, Quincy township, Franklin County.

(6.) Martha Lydia Bonebrake b. 6 March 1852-d. 7 February 1928 wed Jermiah Myer Rowe b. 18 February 1850- d. 13 March 1910.


In Quincy township, on the 14th ult., Mr. JACOB BONEBRAKE, aged 48 years, 10 months and 16 days.
