HAMPTON - Isabel Earhart O'Keefe, 86, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had been a resident of Hampton since the early 30's. She was a beautician for many years and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 48.
Mrs. O'Keefe was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph O'Keefe Jr.; and sons, John O'Keefe III and Michael J. O'Keefe.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Patrick and Karen O'Keefe, Robert and Sharon O'Keefe; grandchildren, Patrick O'Keefe Jr., Linda Baker, Robert O'Keefe Jr., and Shawn O'Keefe; and great-grandchildren, Kenny Baker, Donovan O'Keefe, Trevor O'Keefe, Michael O'Keefe and Christopher O'Keefe.
The family wishes to thank, Tracy Griffin, Elva Trice and Deborah Lewis at the Golden Living Center, in Poquoson, for their care and compassion.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, in downtown Hampton. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, at Oakland Cemetery, by the Rev. George N. Rosario, C.Ss.R.
