In 1821 her parents removed to Canaan, Conn., where her girlhood was spent and then to Worthington, Ohio. Here in 1835 she was married to William Hough and in 1845 they came to carve a home for themselves out of the wilderness. Her husband died in 1880 and she has made her home ever since with her daughter Mrs. H. L. Linder, the only survivor of her five children.
In her early youth she confessed Christ and united with the M. E. church. After her removal to this place she became a member of the Congregational church and was always in her place when health and strength permitted.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, conducted by. C. K. Stockwell. Interment in Circle Hill cemetery.
