APLEY, LILLIAN MARGARET SCOTT "GG" - born September 14, 1930 in Grosse Ile, Michigan, departed this life into the arms of Jesus from Parkwest Hospital March 31, 2011. She lived with daughter, Anna and husband, Butch Sprain of Knoxville, TN, who were blessed to have had her to love on and care for in their home since 1995. Before moving to Knoxville she had lived in El Paso, TX and Clovis, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Scott; sister, Katherine; brothers Joseph and William Scott and Stanley Apley whom she was married to for 21 years. She is survived by daughters and sons in law, Rebecca and William Kirby of Joshua, TX, Anna and Butch Sprain of Knoxville, TN; sons and daughters in law, Alan Scott and Belynda Apley of Farmersville, TX and Joel and Lisa Apley of Knoxville, TN. She counted 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren in her family. Lillian loved life, was a loving mother, caring and generous person. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan who seldom missed a game. Besides baseball she loved to cook, crochet and sew. A special note of appreciation goes to Tabetha Brown her home health aide of many years, the care team of Covenant Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Emily Diltz and the staff of Parkwest Hospital, who provided such compassionate care. She was cremated and a private celebration of her life is being held by her family. Interment will be in a private ceremony in Kinderhook, Michigan. Her physical presence will be missed by all, memories of her love and spirit will remain with us always and for those who count Jesus as Lord and Savior, one day we will see her again.
