Appointed by the Confederate Government in 1863 to
construct and build an "Old Confederate Road" from Niblett's Bluff, La. to Sugartown, La. to Hineston, La. to Alexandria, La. in order to be able to transport supplies to Confederate Troops, since Union Troops occupied New Orleans, La. and navigation along the Red River and Mississippi River.

Possibly the son of

Mary Ann Bell. There are several other individuals that have been identified as being their son.
