Mrs. Madge Dick Bowman, 83, years old, formerly of Irwin, died at 9 o'clock Thursday night in the home of her son, John S Bowman, of State College, with whom she resided. Born Mar. 21, 1872 in Ebensburg, she was a daughter of the late Thomas W. and Lucy Kern Dick. Her husband John I Bowman, died Mar. 16, 1948. She was a member of the Cresson Presbyterian Church. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. A. S. Mueller, of Pontiac Michigan; Dick I., of Media, and John S., State College. Also surviving are two grandchildren and one great grandchild. There will be no visitations prior to private funeral services which will be held in the Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main St., Irwin, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. Carl W. Bowman officiating. Interment will be in the Irwin Cemetery.
