Frank Austin McKenzie, 80, formerly of Lindsay died Friday morning, April 8, 2011 at his home in Maysville. He was born July 21, 1930 at Lindsay, Oklahoma to Martin Houston and Gladys Faye (Wood) McKenzie.

Frank graduated from Cox City High School. He worked as a gas processor for Mobil Oil Company, moving from West Texas to Wyoming while working for them. Frank was employed with Mobil for 35 years before retiring in 1985. He enjoyed Senior Citizen's dances, guitar jam sessions, hunting and running dogs. Frank married Reda Don on November 18, 2005 at Mena, Arkansas. He was a member of the Lindsay Church of Christ. Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved the Lord and his family. For every meal our family shared around the table, Frank was the one who always said the prayer to bless our food. Even when his voice was weak, his heart was strong with thanks for the Lord's blessings.

His survivors include his wife, Reda Don McKenzie and step-daughter, Charity of the home in Maysville. Son, Errol McKenzie of Oklahoma City. Daughter, LaDonna Sue Smith and her husband, Steve of Moore. Daughters-in-law: Sheela McKenzie of Norman and Shirley McKenzie of Lindsay. Step-children: Rick Page, Connie Lamb, Shela Alexander, and Robbie Scott. Sisters: Margaret McKey of Dallas, Texas and Emma Gardner and husband, Wayne of Ft. Worth, Texas. 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 5 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren. a special step-granddaughter and husband, Kalyn and Kenton Self of Ada, Oklahoma

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine McKenzie, son, Ernest Wayne McKenzie, Sr.; brothers, Reuban and Rollo; and a sister, Beulah Davis.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lindsay Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Lindsay Church of Christ with Rick Popejoy officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com.
