Lloyd Kenneth Alley, 74 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at his home.
Born Friday, June 26, 1936 in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was the son of the late William Glen Alley and the late Margaret Ida Hicks Alley.
He was a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church. He loved building houses. In 1991, he retired as the manager of the Air Traffic Control Tower in Huntsville, AL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Special thanks to Dr. John Fanning and staff, Lincoln County Home Health and Hospice, and a special thanks to caregiver Cheryl Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons; Lloyd Kenneth Alley, Jr. and Kerry Glen Alley, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Surviving are wife, Judy B. Alley, of Ardmore, TN, son, Kevin Alley, of AR, daughters, Andrea Alley of AR, Dawn & Husband James Barisa of Hazel Green, AL and Jana & husband Terry Green of Harvest, AL, brother, James Alley of CA, sister, Glendora Baran of Carpentersville, IL, and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Sammy Brister officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
