Belle Larson was born in Norway the daughter of Haktor and Anne Marie Auestad. She came to the USA with her parents, two younger sisters and baby brother in 1881 where they took up their residence in Sheldahl, IA.

On March 17, 1897 she was united in marriage to Lewis Larson establishing their home in Sheldahl where Mr. Larson was in business as a retailer of farm implements. In 1907 they moved west and established a homestead in Albin, Wyoming. After the death of her husband Lewis, Belle contined to live on the farm for 2 years. In 1945 she moved to Denver, Colorado where she shared and apartment with her sister Ida Peterson. She returned to Iowa early in 1951 when her health began to fail. She stayed with a niece who was an RN and took care of her in Des Moines, IA until her death.
