She graduated from Milton High School in 1933 and married Joe Kreiss on May 18, 1934 in Keosauqua. He died August 11, 1972.
She had worked at Hotel Manning, Van Buren County Care Facility and Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, all in Keosauqua, and was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Gary of Fairfield and Arlo of Keosauqua; three daughters, Lana Boughner of Kellogg, Linda Brill and JoAnn Kreiss, both of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Dickeson of Newhall, California.
A brother, Forrest Winn, preceded her in death.
Funeral servies were held Saturday, September 7 in the Keosauqua United Methodist Church with Reverend Chrisa Ferguson officiating. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua.
Memorials have been established for the Diabetes Association and Heart Association.
