A native of Grace Mont, Okla. born March 15, 1929, Harold Joe Blue, Sr. died peacefully at home on Jan. 27, 2006, age 76 years.

Loving husband of Elda A. Blue of Kelseyville of 14 years; he is also survived by his son, Harold Blue, Jr.; daughter, Donna (Jeff) Cockriell; stepson and stepdaughter, Mark and Janice Sanders, all of Kelseyville; grandchildren, Melissa and Kevin Cockriell, Alexis Blue, Joseph Sanders, Chris and Jeremy Sprague, and Willie and Roy Sanders; great-grandchildren, Bethany Cockriell and Alexiya Sprague. He is also survived by brothers, Vernon and Jerry Blue; sisters, Helen Willis and Mildred Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Carol Blue, and brother, Roy Blue.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict, and a 45-year resident of Kelseyville, Harold also attended Assembly of God Church of Clearlake.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 High St., Lakeport. Interment will follow at Kelseyville Cemetery on Bell Hill Road. The United Veterans' Council of Lake County will provide full military honors.
