Clara (Heath) Yaw is the daughter of Rev. Hosea Sheffield Heath and Paulina S. (Wheeler) Heath.

The funeral of Mrs. Clara Yaw was held Monday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mabel H. Knight of Lake Avenue.

Mrs. Yaw was born at Springville December 26, 1863, the daughter of Hosea S. and Paulina Heath. She came to Hamburg with her parents while very young and spent most of her life here. She married Ralph Yaw and lived in Gowanda for several years, where their only son, Harold, was born.

About fourteen years ago Mrs. Yaw went to Los Angeles, Calif., where she was superintendent of a hospital for several years and was active in social work. Last fall she came to Hamburg and her illness steadily became worse until her death Saturday.

Mrs. Yaw is survived by her son, Harold W. Yaw, and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel H. Knight of Hamburg and Mrs. Julia H. Van Duzee of Boulder, Col. The Rev. F. O. Leonard conducted the funeral service and burial was in Prospect Lawn cemetery. Bearers were four cousins, Byron and George Heath, and George and Hal Sherman.
