Sara E. nee Orr Wagner Walker, 93 of Home, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Bert and Mary Edna Rankin Orr, she was born Mary 28, 1917 in Willet.

Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and had worked for Goss Candies in Indiana. She was a member of the Harmony Grove Lutheran Church. Nearly a lifelong Lutheran, she joined the Lutheran choir as a teenager at the request of the minister who heard her singing as she pumped his gas at her father's general store and gas station. Her husband Clair Wagner said of her, "If the church door is open, Sara is there."

She is survived by three children: Jerri L. Wagner and husband H. "Gene" McGee of Altoona; James M. Wagner and wife Evelyn of Boalsburg; Linda K. Griffith and husband John of Marion Center; nine grandchildren: Paula K. McGee, Michael McGee, Steven McGee, David Wagner, Douglas Wagner, Mandy Hammell, Rebecca Goss, Adam Griffith, Jason Griffith, sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clair M. Wagner; her second husband, William B. Walker; five siblings: Harry F. Orr, Floyd T. Orr, Edna G. Orr Anderson, Glenn R. Orr and Ethel L. Orr Smith.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc. in Indiana and one hour prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harmony Grove Lutheran Church in Five Points with Pastor Dave Wassemann and Pastor Julie Walz officiating. Private family interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
