Evelyn Mae Meyer, 86, of Bluffton died at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at the Christian Care Retirement Center.
She had worked in the accounting department at Franklin Electric for more than 24 years. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.
She was born on May 12, 1920 in LaPorte County, the daughter of William and Ida (Meyer) Troxel.
She was a 1938 graduate of Kirkland High School in Adams County. She is survived by two daughters, Marlene Stewart of Laguna Woods, Calif., and Mrs. Roger (Carole) Lane of Fort Wayne, and two sons, Larry Meyer of Wellston, Mich., and Bill Meyer of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by two brothers, William Troxel of Bluffton and Dwight Troxel of Decatur, and three sisters, Marjorie Troxel of Bluffton, Alice Troxel of Bluffton and Mary Jane Sprunger of Indianapolis, along with 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Judy Meyer and her son Ronald Meyer, along with her brothers Ralph, Willard, and Kenneth.
Visitation will be on Friday from noon until 8 p.m. at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel, along with one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Apostolic North Church with ministers of the church officiating.
Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
