Joan Belcher Puckett
Joan Belcher Puckett, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died Thursday, March 18, 1999 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus at the age of 92. She was born in Lincoln County, Ky., June 2, 1906, daughter of David and Sarah (Gross) Belcher, and lived in Middletown for most of her life. She was employed by Armco as a laboratory analyst for many years. Following her husband's death, she lived in Columbus, and most recently in Friendship Village, in Dublin. She took great pride in her gardening, cooking, and sewing, only a few of her wonderful talents. Her many gifts and loving ways will be dearly missed by her daughters, Helen Puckett Kaurich, and her husband, Frank, of Columbus, and Marjorie Puckett Jaffee, of Boca Raton, Fla. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Douglas Richards, and his wife, Leigh, of Clinton, N.J., Deb Tongren, and her husband, Rob, of Columbus, David Kaurich, and his wife, Mary, of Muskegon, Mich., Charles Jaffee, of Portland, Ore., Joan Jaffee Miller, and her husband, Will, of Seattle, Wash., Tracy Kaurich Columbo, and her husband, Frank, of Wooster, and Thomas Kaurich, of London, England; and great-grandchildren, A.J. and Amy Richards, Jennifer, Peter, and Andrew Tongren, Katherine and Elizabeth Miller, and Alison Columbo. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and loving husband, George William Puckett.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors prior to the service and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
