Gerard (Jerry) T. Fasano passed away on April 10, 2011 in Verde Valley Medical Center of heart failure after a short illness.

He was born on April 26, 1920.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate Shirley Fasano; many nieces and nephews and six stepchildren and grandchildren.

Born in New York (Long Island), he was in the Merchant Marines as a radio officer.

He sailed the seas in World War II and served our country with pride.

He was also a New York City fireman for 24 years. He retired and moved to Tucson in 1974 and acquired his real estate brokers' license in 1976.

He moved to Sedona (VOC) in 1983 and opened a Realty Executives Office in the Village of Oak Creek in 1986 to 1996.

Then he and his wife Shirley opened Oak Creek Realty, also in the Village of Oak Creek. Gerard retired in 2006.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Cottonwood where a Mass and Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with burial at All Souls Cemetery.

A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.

We will miss his witty humor, his contagious smile and his zest for life. He will be missed deeply by all his family and friends.
