Mary Hudson was a daughter of Solomon Hudson and Mary Kingsbury. Her siblings were: Solomon, Benjamin, Nathan, Calvin, Holman, David, Kitridge, and Henry.

Additional information from the Gazetteer of Caledonia and Essex Counties, VT, reveals that George and Mary Hart had nine children. Census records, Civil War pension records, and family correspondence indicate the following children: Daniel, Augusta, Henry, Cynthia Jane, William A., Almira, and three other children whose names are unknown at this time.

According to the The Genealogy of Samuel Hartt: "George Hart; m. Olive ________; m. second Mary Hudson, and had a daughter Augusta, who d. in Boston, MA, April 24, 1854, and is buried at Bradford, NH; unmarried."

The George and Mary Hart family lived primarily in Newark, Caledonia County, VT, but they also resided briefly in Westmoreland, NH and spent seven years [about 1852-1859] in Barnston, Quebec, Canada. George Hart and family were listed in the 1860 census of Newark, Caledonia County, Vermont, and he died in 1861.

My last information on Mary Hudson Hart was a letter she wrote on 5 July 1863 to her daughter-in-law, Ellen Jane Sullivan Hart.
