David Woodrow Browning, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.

He was born June 17, 1919 in Idaho Falls, ID to Stephen A. and Amy Browning. He was the youngest of thirteen children. Dave was a hard worker and a devoted family man.

During World War II, he proudly served in the Army Air Force, where he met his French Canadian bride Lillian Marie "Lillie" Gougeon at Edmonton Air Base.

Lillie worked in the "Mess Hall" and she often snuck Dave meat on "No Meat Tuesday". They married on October 11, 1946 in Pasco, Washington.

He loved spending time at his cabin in Island Park, ID, where he enjoyed telling stories to his family and friends always making them laugh.

In his last few weeks of life, he talked about being at the cabin, where some of his best memories were created. Dave also enjoyed square dancing which he and Lillie did for over thirty years.

David W. Browning is survived by: his son Dennis (Kathy) Browning who live in St. George, UT; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sterling Court and Red Cliffs Rehabilitation in St. George, UT for the exceptional care of Gramps.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls, ID. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Interment will take place in the Fielding Memorial Park.
