Husband of Mabel P. (Smith) Halsey Blakeslee, whom he married on June 3, 1945 in Brookhaven, NY.

Obituary - Fremont B. Abrams - A funeral service for Fremont B. Abrams, 70, one of Long Island's leading rose growers, who died Sunday night, May 21, at his home on Montauk Highway, Blue Point, was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 in the Blue Point Baptist Church, the Rev. I.A. Falk, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Blue Point Cemetery.

Obituary for Mabel B. Abrams - Mrs. Mabel B. Abrams, 71, of Library Lane, Brookhaven, died last Thursday at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. Born in Brookhaven, she was a life resident of that vicinity. She was a member of the Fireplace Literary Club of Brookhaven, and past worthy matron of Old Glory Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Patchogue; a member and past loyal matron of the Order of Amaranth of Patchogue; a member and past president of the Patchogue Sorosis; a member and past regent of Col. Josiah Smith Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Patchogue; a member of the Brookhaven-South Haven Presbyterian Church, and a member and organizer of the Brookhaven-South Haven Auxiliary Unit of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Worth of Brookhaven; and Mrs. Louise N. Gerard of Shirley; and a brother, Clinton M. Smith of Brookhaven. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ruland Funeral Home, Patchogue, the Rev. Charles A. Kellogg, pastor of the Brookhaven-South Haven Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery, Bellport.
