Funeral Being Planned for J. L. Lucas, 16, killed in crash. Funeral arrangements are incomplete for James L. Lucas, 16, formerly of Fort Worth, who was killed in an auto accident near Greenville late Sunday. His father, L. B. Lucas, 45, was injured critically and is in a Greenville hospital. Officers said the Lucas car overturned when the vehicle swerved to avoid striking a calf in the road. The two were returning to their home in Sulphur Springs, where they moved in June, after visiting in Grapevine. The elder Lucas is the brother of R. L. Lucas, operator of Lucas Funeral Home here, and J. T. Lucas funeral home operator in Grapevine. Mrs. L. Lucas was left in Grapevine to return to Amarillo with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kelly. She left for Greenville after being notified of the accident Monday morning. James Lucas also is survived by his grandmother, Mrs. J. A. Wilkerson of Dallas, and an uncle, R. G. Wilkerson of Fort Worth. The body was taken to a Greenville Funeral Home. Source: Ft. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Lucas was killed late late Sunday in an automobile accident near Greenville. His father, L. B.
