Consuelo Casarez Adams, daughter of Jesse Casarez and Maria Casarez, was born February 2, 1912 near Monterrey, Mexico. She died on April 18, 2004 in Austin, Texas. She was 92 years old.

When Consuelo was 11 months old, the family moved from Mexico to Austin, Texas to escape the Mexican Revolution. She did not become a naturalized American citizen until February 1, 1952. On June 3 1929, while still a citizen of Mexico, she married Henry Alexander Adams with whom she had two sons, Ernest Earl Adams, and Henry Alexander Adams, Jr. The marriage lasted 52 years until Henry's death in 1981.

Consuelo was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Maria Casarez; her husband, Henry Adams; three brothers, Frank, Jesse, and Louis Casarez; a son, Henry Alexander Adams Jr.; and a grandson, Mark Wade Adams.

A funeral mass was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, in the chapel at Assumption Cemetery with Father Bud Roland officiating. Interment followed at the cemetery.
