PLAINVIEW - Irving W. Ball, 69, of rural Plainview died this morning of cancer in his home following a six month illness.
Mr. Ball was born here July 31, 1905, and married Mae Seefeldt Oct. 16, 1929. She survives. They spent their entire married life farming east of here.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Joyce) Wilde of Plainview and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church here, with the Rev. Luther Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery here.
Friends may call at the Johnson-Shriver Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday and then one hour before services at the church.
Pallbearers will be James Montgomery, Jesse Glasesmer Godon Beker, Walter Baldwin, Richard Nelson and Hugh Dittrich. [Plainview News; obituary contributed by the Plainview Area History Center]
