Mr. Charles McCall Boynton, age 84, of Social Circle, Georgia, formerly of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, February 09, 2011. He was born March 2, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Charles McCall Boynton, Sr., and Ada Mae Terrell Boynton. Mr. Boynton served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years seeing action both during WWII and Korean Conflict, retiring at the rank of Staff Sgt. He was a Baptist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Marie Dipold Boynton; sisters, Gertrude Boynton and Pauline Bentley; brother, Robert Boynton; and 2 half brothers, Olin Camp Boynton and Ruben Glenn Boynton.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2 PM from Carrollton City Cemetery with military honors.
